Hi, I'm Catherine!

I have been a counselor since 2004, a registered Yoga Teacher since 2009, and a wellness and mindfulness focused relationship coach since 2011.  

I have a Bachelor of Science from Appalachian State University in Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have been in this field since 2004. I have been granted Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) status and have been licensed (LPC) in my state since 2006.

I have explored ways to help others by using my professional background and my personal journey and all the ways it has pushed me to grow. 

I have created a relationship and mindfulness coaching business that brings my experience in counseling but is focused on my work as a coach and yoga teacher. I coach people individually and as couples,  to become more aware of their body sensations, thoughts, feelings and auto-response behavior. I do this using the tools of mindfulness, education, metaphors, and examples. Once clients have more awareness, I work with them to deepen their understanding.

Working with Me

My coaching work focuses on learning more about yourselves and using that knowledge to strengthen your relationships. I help people interested in any relationship style identify the ways they get in their own way of what we all want most – connecting authentically with others- so they can be seen, heard, understood and loved anyway by the people they love the most. 

Unlike traditional counselors and coaches, I am willing to share my personal experience so my clients get the double benefit of that and my 15 years of professional experience.
